Detailed Implementation Rules on Off-campus  Teaching Practice for International Students

                                                            (Revised in July 2019)

      

1.    ‘International student off-campus teaching practice’ refers to the unremunerated (except for traffic allowance and meal subsidy) off-campus practice activities that are organized and carried out according to the school teaching plan for international students;

 

2.    The international student engaged in off-campus teaching practice shall meet the following conditions:

 

1)    The international student should be a degree student or exchange student (exclusive of a language student);

 

2)    The international student should hold a Student Residence Permit with annotated practice information included;

 

3)    The international student shall not be engaged in off-campus practice activities concurrently at more than two (inclusive of two) entity units;

 

4)    The content of practice shall be correlated to their specialty studies.

 

3.    The international student, before his practice, is required to undergo the archival filling formalities and the formality of annotation of his residence permit. The international student who intends to have both residence permit and practice annotated should pay according to the residence permit charge criteria with no charge to be collected for annotation procedure. For a single practice annotation procedure, the charging rate for each annotation is RMB200.

 

Practice activity should be temporarily suspended if there occurs a change in his college of studies or his practice entity unit during the practice period; and no suspension is necessary if there occurs a replacement, reissuance or renewal of his passport or residence permit, but a second archival filling procedure is required and his residence permit needs reissuing and his practice re-annotated.

 

       4.    Documents Required for Annotation of Residence Permit

 

Passport, Registration Form of Temporary Residence, photocopy of ‘Certificate of Practice’, ‘Certificate Application by International Student’, and RMB200 in cash.

 

l  The international student shall carry with him his relevant identity certificate such as passport during his practice period.

 

5.    Failure to undergo the practice annotation or archival filling formalities in accordance with the said regulations, or practice activities that go beyond the limit of time and entity unit as specified in the ‘Certificate of Off-campus Practice of International Student’ shall be deemed as illegal employment acts. The municipal immigration departments on various levels will impose penalty on the rule-breaking unit and individual according to the relevant laws and regulations.

1.   Seal to be annexed on the ‘Opinion’

1. Hand in the ‘Opinion’ (may be sent to   the school by the unit though fax, if the unit is outside of Shanghai) and   other relevant documents;

2. Fill out the ‘Certificate of   Off-campus Practice of International Student’ (‘Practice Certificate’)

1. Obtain the photocopy   of the ‘Practice Certificate’;

2. Obtain the ‘Application   for Certificate by International Student’

Bring:   passport, residence registration form, photocopy of the ‘Practice Certificate’,   photocopy of the ‘Opinion’, ‘Application for Certificate by International   Student’, and RMB200 in cash
