Registration of International Student Living Off Campus

                                      Rules on Registration of International Student Living Off Campus

                                                                            (Revised in July 2015)

The international student living off campus who has moved in an off-campus house must go through the temporary accommodation registration procedure in 24 hours with the police station near where the house is located.

1.    Procedure

1)     Sign a tenancy contract with the lesser of the house.

2)     Draw a ‘Registration of International Student Living off Campus’ at the International Cultural Exchange College and complete the form.

3)   Bring the following documents to the police station near where the residence is located for the temporary accommodation registration procedure, and claim a ‘Registration of Foreigner’s Temporary Accommodation’.

1.Valid general passport (original);

2.‘Registration of International Student Living off Campus’ (by the International Cultural Exchange College) (original);

3.Tenancy Contract (original);

4.‘Statement of Tenancy Security Responsibilities’ (original) (provided by the landlord).

2.    Notice

1)      The international student must go through a second off-campus accommodation registration procedure if there should occur a change to the address of the house or the number of his passport during his studies in the school. Follow the same procedure.

1)        The international student who reenters China with an X1 Visa or an X2 Visa must go through the temporary accommodation registration procedure once again with the police station near where the house is located in 24 hours after his re-entry, even though there occurs no change to the address of the house.

2)        The international student must present the ‘Registration of Foreigner’s Temporary Accommodation’ in his application for a Residence Permit, which shall be properly taken care of in case of inspection.

3)        The international student who lives on campus should have a ‘Registration of Foreigner’s Temporary Accommodation’ issued by the Student Dorm Service Desk.
